Our Impact
We deliver advisory services and community-based partnerships that build and improve urban infrastructure, create quality local jobs, and transfer implementation-risk away from local government.
Nature conservation and climate action are essential for long-term sustainability, and our work directly contributes to Net-Zero and Net-Positive goals of cities, that are crucial to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Supplier Diversity & Mentor-Protege Programs
CIS proudly upholds a strong commitment to diversity and inclusivity.
Nearly a third of the company staff (including our CEO, our Advisory Team Leader, and our Portfolio Finance Director) are Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC). Overall, our diverse team collectively embodies the richness of perspectives that drive our innovative and inclusive workplace culture.
Not surprisingly, we are unwavering in our commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive business landscape. We actively prioritize the inclusion of Minority/Women-Owned Business Enterprises (M/WBE) and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE), recognizing the vital role they play in driving innovation and economic growth. By providing equal opportunities, meaningful partnerships, and a platform for these underrepresented firms, we aim to catalyze positive change and contribute to a more equitable and thriving business community.
Over the last decade, we have mentored over fifty small and minority business enterprises under our umbrella. For these companies, we drive awareness of opportunities by hosting and participating in regional minority business conferences, fairs, and outreach events. Once under our umbrella, we assist these companies to increase their bid preparation wherewithal and other back-office support functions through Contractor Supportive Services.
Giving Back
We are dedicated to making a meaningful impact on our communities, both collectively and as individuals.
Over the past decade, our employees have actively engaged in various charitable service projects. We volunteer our time and professional expertise, raise funds for deserving causes, and contribute essential items, such as food, holiday gifts for underprivileged families, and school supplies for disadvantaged children. Most of these initiatives are grassroots efforts organized at a local level.
Additionally, CIS provides its employees with ‘Give Back Hours,’ an annual benefit that grants them 8 hours of paid time to participate in volunteer events, such as blood donation or park clean-ups. Moreover, CIS offers employees the option to donate to charitable organizations in place of receiving service awards and holiday gifts.
Finally, we sponsor a whole host of environmental and social nonprofits across the nation. In 2023, that list included nonprofits and non-governmental organizations such as the
